Heating Pads
Heating Pad is a wellness product, used for warming body parts to relief from pain. Localized application of heat causes the blood vessels in that area to dilate, enhancing perfusion to the targeted tissue. Electric pads usually operate from household current and must have protection against overheating. Chemical pads contain catalyzed rusting of iron, or dissolving calcium chloride while the most common reusable heat pads contain a supersaturated solution of sodium acetate (CH3COONa) in water.
